I’m Žygimantas Mačys – General Medical Council Sertified Plastic Surgeon in the Manchester, United Kingdom, and I’m here to guide you through the world of plastic surgery in a way that feels clear, honest and comfortable.
As a plastic surgeon with years of experience, I’ve seen how life-changing aesthetic operations can be, not just in how you look, but in how you feel about yourself. I’ve also seen the uncertainty that comes with making such a big decision.

Plastic Surgery
My journey into plastic surgery began during my medical studies at Vilnius University. Early on, I discovered that this field is far more than just cosmetic procedures – it’s where science meets artistry. I was drawn to the precision, creativity, and life-changing impact that a skilled plastic surgeon can offer.
As the youngest doctor at one of Lithuania’s leading hand trauma and plastic surgery centers, I gained extensive experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. From complex hand surgeries to subtle facial operations, I developed a deep passion for helping patients restore function and confidence.
I have recently relocated to Manchester, United Kingdom, where I continue to grow professionally and work with patients seeking natural, refined, and thoughtful results in both aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
Experience
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege to train with leading plastic surgeons across Europe and Lithuania. This allowed me to refine my skills in facial and breast surgery while learning diverse techniques and approaches from some of the most respected experts in the field.
Laclinic, Montreux, Switzerland
Hands-on ISAPS (The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) Fellowship.
The main focus of the fellowship was face-lift and breast surgeries with Dr Julien Brilmaker and Dr Laurent Smeets.
Akademikliniken, Stockholm, Sweden
Fellowship with a lot of great surgeons such as Dr. Jonas Rojdmark, Dr. Maximilian Otte, Dr. Paolo Montemurro, Dr. Ulf Samuelson. My main focus was on breast augmentation, facelifts, closed rhinoplasties, and body contouring.
Villa Bella, Salo, Italy
Aesthetic surgery fellowship at one of the best face and breast surgeons in the world Dr. Giovanni Botti, and Dr. Chiara Botti. Focused on a facelift, mastopexy, breast augmentation, and other facial surgeries. I would say this fellowship prepared me the most, not only with knowledge, but also with desire and perspectives of aesthetic surgery. I will be grateful for that all my life.
Nord Esthetics Clinic, Kaunas, Lithuania
Aesthetic surgery fellowship under the mentorship of an experienced multidisciplinary aesthetic team. The fellowship focused on body contouring, post-bariatric surgery, facelifts and other facial procedures, as well as breast surgery. The main emphasis was on surgical planning, precision, and achieving well-contoured, harmonious results. I am deeply grateful to my colleagues A. Pajėda, Dr. G. Samulėnas, T. Urbonas, and the other team for their mentorship, support, and sharing their knowledge.
Avoca Clinic, Dublin, Ireland
Worked as a Plastic Surgeon at Avoca Clinic, Dublin, within a private cosmetic practice. My work was primarily focused on breast surgery and body contouring. This role significantly contributed to my surgical development and prepared me well for future roles in private aesthetic practice.
Transform Group, Manchester, UK
Currently working as a Plastic Surgeon at Transform Hospital Group, one of the largest and most reputable private aesthetic surgery providers in the UK. My work includes a broad range of cosmetic surgical procedures with a particular focus on breast surgery, body contouring, and facial aesthetics. This role has further developed my surgical efficiency, multidisciplinary teamwork, and high-standard patient care within a regulated, high-volume UK private healthcare system.
